Getting Absolutely Bamboozled is the maze that leads us into the misty world of the Bamboozle Festival. We will attempt to navigate the fog of misinformation and take you, our loyal follower, by the hand as we skip and hop our way through the insanity. We will connect the dots, if you will, as you traverse the varied musical landscape that is Bamboozle and the many disparate artists that populate, have populated or may in the future populate this world. And while there are many different pathways and many circuitous routes by which you may travel, all roads eventually lead to just one place.
In simple terms, The GAB will be a living, breathing souvenir for our loyalists to remember their experiences throughout the event in reference. The Creators have asked for a yearbook and that is what 'Boozlers will get when they hit the newsstands around the popular festival coming this May 5th and 6th to the Meadowlands Parking Lot.
The GAB will be your source for Getting Absolutely Bamboozled. Our beat reporter, Scoop McDroop is one of the brightest young minds in the gossip columnist circles. His sources and informants deliver daily information that will offer all readers the real scoop. Our paparazzi is Mark Sullivan, with over 20 years of experience... from Springsteen to Elmo, Mr. Sullivan has caught them all!

We're Starting Where It Ended!
Happy Birthday Pop Pop Pontiff! I hear you had quite the bash ahead of you this weekend. Did you invite Madina and Jean? The silence is killing me!!! Elmo's going to look gorgeous in that bikini. The final Number could be #12 but that could be a Lie. But gosh #7 really looks like you. Those costumes are elaborate. Looks like we're having some kind of agnostic seance. Why would you exclude the one who keeps the kittens in the mood? I have four letters for you, no lies, and I won't be shy at Project Revolution at PNC.
Speaking of tricks and treats, grumblings in deed indicate that we are all about to go on the rides of our lives. Old friends will soon visit PNC but it's not what the fans see. The truth is out there some might see, just find the short one and you will see. You will need a thesaurus for the first day of this adventure. Look through the Pages to find the answers. Without a doubt the fans will be dazzled by this spectacle. Be on the look out for Sneaky Pete!
Left Turn Clyde! What a great movie that was. The map shows us closer to LA this year. Two day in the meadows of the OC…. We might need extra sun block this year. Willy had an earthquake of an idea that everyone will be excited for. Don't fool yourself the first list I saw had some big names on it. What happens on the Left may happen on the Right. One can never be sure!
The storm machine is gearing up for its long trip from the west to east. Looks like Elmo and Cesar will be together for 21 wild nights. You know how these boys like those girls but wait until you see the other characters that are along for the ride.
Add water and things will expand. They added the Atlantic Ocean this year. It seems as if I may visit Big Ben during my vacation in the Fall of '08. It’s nice to finally have a vacation after all this strenuous work they put me through.
The Tv has been Popping out videos left and right as of late. Characters are blazing on all cylinders. Something is going down at the PNC... Find Race and tell him what you want for the Bamboozle Holidays. Elmo will be checking lists twice in the parking lot but make sure to wear your Bamboozle Shirt.

�In the end, we are headed back to the beginning, which is the best way I can describe the trilogy�, Willy said. This vague, yet inspiring quote finally came across my desk after barely any correspondence over the past week. For those of you who may not know, the Bamboozle is a trilogy which started with bamboozle, followed up by Saints & Sinners and now is to be concluded by Tillie Town. We will find the meaning of the trilogy in the next year or so I am told, but who knows, not much has been predictable thus far.
Saints & Sinners seems to be remodeled in an old school way. I like the change and think the choice of headliners compliment each other well. It has already shown that it will follow the bamboozle theme with a fake name performance. They made it way too obvious� two day passes, blah blah blah..saves the day, two members...i got it. I may sin in 108 ways when I say old school...but I think this front is about to get strength. Jesus H. Christ? Yeah, I saw the footage� he looks like him. I applaud the effort to give the event some credibility and only hope that we finally get more Caesar in the episodes.
The final chapter, Tillie Town is a town fair... the town where the clowns were born and forced to leave by its rebirth. The only way for them to return was to do it in a grand fashion...flogging molly and Keller Williams. One might notice here that Keller Williams is actually a veteran of the Bamboozle...he played the first one that was held in Asbury Park in 04, I believe. In the end, there is the beginning and i think that is how this book will end. Tillie Town looks to be shaping up to balance the brand with diversity into most of the genres that influence today�s music.
My work has just begun. The third chapter is right around the corner, while the second chapter comes this fall..but in the end, its the novel that keeps my interest...

The past few weeks have been very confusing around The Bamboozle camp. While most of us were eagerly expecting announcements from The Bamboozle Left and Saints and Sinners, there was nothing....not even any updates. Sources close to my desk have informed me that the lack of production is going to be explained this Friday in a statement from organizers.
Why wait. The Bamboozle Left is going to be pushed back to April. While there was interest in doing an event this October, seems that big dawgs pulled the plug and shifted the strategic plans for the event. The Left plays Southern California in April, immediately followed by The Bambozle Road Show Tour which will end at The Bamboozle Hometown the first weeks of May.
The Bastard Plan as I refer to it looks good on paper, but we'll see when executed. It will definitely make it easy for bands to play everything but it will make my life a nightmare. How am I going to cover two festivals and a twenty plus city tour...all within a month. There's no doubt, I could do it...but can they do it?

Leading upto the big event, I often found myself wondering....what am I going to do once this monster passes? will there be enough interest in the bamboozle community to keep the pedal to the medal on my keyboard. Well, I can safely say that there is plenty to do and I don't think there will ever be time to relax.
Bamboozle TV is cranking, I was a doubter at first...but was I wrong. The new content is sure to make us all visit daily. Sources within the Bamboozle TV camp has said that there will be performances and interviews added daily. Databass is also in the studio producing over two hours of documentary footage that is scheduled to begin airing in June. In other Bamboozle TV news, the entire media department here have been assigned to cover Saints And Sinners Festival which is slated to hit Asbury Park for two days in October. There is a Saints And Sinners channel on Bamboozle TV or you can feel free to visit the festival website at www.saintsandsinnersfestival.com.
Saints And Sinners is getting a slight makeover. Insiders are saying that the festival will cater to similar acts that we seen on the festival stage at Bamboozle as opposed to the diversity in last years line up. There will also be new features like The Music Expo Panels and an all new Crusade Contest. An announcement is scheduled for late Thursday night...I would expect only the dates to be posted. The headliners will be announced by June 22nd.
The Bamboozle Left, the big mystery here at Camp Boozle. The gossip has been dry and most of the tips are bust. We are pretty sure that the destination is Irvine, CA. Elmo has a new ride and new Verizon cell phone. My 20 buck donation to Elmo Cares got me 20 and 21 of October plus the now infamous, "falling into to place" one liner. Linc has been a little off lately, keeps referring to make believe characters who he thinks are coming to bamboozle left.
Looks like we will have our hands full until next May. I received an anonymous tip that Bamboozle is scheduled to return May 3rd and 4th but to stay tuned for a bigger festival on May 2nd. The anonymous call actually came from The Bamboozle offices, so I think we have a Benedict Arnold amongst us. There have been "?"'s posted all around our offices...what does this mean? |
